For owners
Your first week as an owner
A plain order of work for a new owner: add the vehicle, get approved, fit the sticker, and know what to do when the first report arrives.

Guides are in English for now. The rest of the site is translated.
Think of this as a checklist, not a deadline. ATAP is in pilot and we do not promise a review time yet. The order matters more than the speed, and you can do the later steps in any order once the first two are done.
- Add the vehicle. Type the plate, then upload a photo of the registration certificate (the RC) and a photo of the vehicle that shows its plate.
- A person at ATAP checks the two photos against the plate. Your claim shows as Under review, and you can withdraw it while it waits.
- Fit the sticker and link it to the vehicle. The guide on fitting the sticker covers where it goes.
- Choose how you hear about reports: email, a notification on your phone, or both.
- Reply to each report once. Acknowledge it, or dispute it and give a reason.
- If you want them, enter your insurance, PUC and fitness dates and switch on reminders.
Before you add the vehicle
You sign in with your email and a one time code. There is no password to remember. Have two photos ready: the registration certificate, with all four corners in view and the plate number sharp, and the vehicle itself, with the same plate visible.
ATAP does not record the name or address on your certificate. A person looks at the photo, decides, and the file is deleted 30 days after that review. One account can hold up to 10 vehicles.
While you wait for approval
Nothing is lost while you wait. Anyone who reports your vehicle sends it to a private holding place. Once you are approved, you can see what was reported before you joined, as long as the photos are inside 90 days.
You will not get a message for reports older than 24 hours when you are approved. They are in the app, and that is where to look first.
If the claim is rejected, the reason tells you what to fix. It is usually a plate that does not match or a photo that is cut off. Submit it again with a clearer one.
Fitting the sticker
The sticker is what lets a stranger report your vehicle in a few seconds with the plate already filled in. Where to put it, how to fit it and how to check it are in putting your sticker on.
Choosing how you are told
On the app home page, email alerts are on from the start. To get a notification on your phone, turn on alerts for that device. On an iPhone, add ATAP to your Home Screen first, because Safari does not send notifications otherwise. WhatsApp and text message alerts are planned and not built.
An alert links to the app and carries no photo, place or detail about the sender. To check that alerts reach you, scan your own sticker while signed in and press Send a test alert.
When the first report arrives
- Open the alert link, or the vehicle page. Each report shows its photo, the time, the category, the place if the sender shared it, and their note. You never see who sent it.
- Read it as one person's view of a few seconds on the road, not as a finding.
- Reply once. If it is fair, acknowledge it. If it is wrong, dispute it and pick a reason. The guide on disagreeing with a report explains the difference.
- If someone else was driving, talk to them. A shift link can show you who was on shift at the time, as described in setting up schools and fleets.
Reminders for your documents
On the vehicle page, under Document reminders, type the dates your insurance, PUC and fitness certificate run out, then tick the box. We email you 15 days and 2 days before each date, in the daytime India time. ATAP does not check the dates. They are only what you type. When you renew, enter the new date and the reminders start again.
If you sell the vehicle
Switch the sticker off in the app and peel it from the glass. The next owner claims the vehicle with their own certificate. The full steps are in the sticker guide.
